Equipment

  • 9×13-inch baking pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer or hand whisk
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife or chopping board

Ingredients

  • 1 box 15.25 oz chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required for the cake mix typically eggs, oil, water check the box
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter chips
  • ½ cup chopped roasted peanuts

Instructions

Prepare The Cake Batter

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix the chocolate cake batter according to the package directions usually this means combining it with eggs, oil, and water. Pour the batter evenly into a greased 9×13-inch pan so it’s ready for the filling.

Make The Peanut Butter Filling

  • In another bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Beat everything together until it’s smooth, creamy, and well blended.

Layer The Filling

  • Spoon dollops of the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate cake batter. Then, using a knife or a skewer, gently swirl the filling into the cake batter to create a pretty marbled pattern.

Add Toppings

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and chopped roasted peanuts evenly over the swirled cake batter. This will give extra flavor and a little crunch.

Bake The Cake

  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean some crumbs are okay because of the swirled filling. Let it cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before handling.

Serve And Enjoy

  • Allow the cake to cool completely at room temperature before cutting it into squares. Enjoy it as a rich dessert or sweet snack. If you want firmer slices, you can pop it in the fridge for a while before serving.
