This simple Black Tea Recipe is a classic, comforting beverage that can be enjoyed any time of day. Made with just black tea leaves or a tea bag, fresh water, a touch of brown sugar, and a slice of lemon, it’s quick to prepare and wonderfully aromatic. The brewing process extracts the rich, bold flavor of the black tea, while the brown sugar adds gentle sweetness and the lemon slice provides a refreshing, tangy finish.
Pour a cup (about 250 ml) of fresh water into a small pot or kettle and bring it to a boil. Once the water is bubbling, add a teaspoon of black tea leaves or drop in a black tea bag. Let it steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. If you’re using loose leaves, strain the tea into your cup.
Step 2: Add Flavour And Serve
Stir in some brown sugar to taste until it dissolves. Add a slice of lemon for a little extra zing. Serve it hot and enjoy right away.
