  • Spoon or masher
  • Strainer
  • Teacups or mugs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe fresh blueberries washed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tea bag black tea or green tea, based on preference
  • 1 –2 teaspoons honey or 1 cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • A few fresh mint leaves

Instructions

Cook The Blueberries

  • Put the blueberries and water in a small pot. Heat until it starts to gently boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes. Press the berries slightly with a spoon to bring out their juice.

Make The Tea

  • Take the pot off the heat and drop in the tea bag. Let it sit for 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor. Strain the liquid into a cup and throw away the leftover solids.

Add Flavor & Serve

  • Mix in your honey or sugar, then add a splash of lemon juice. Stir everything together, top with a few mint leaves if you like, and enjoy it warm or let it cool for a refreshing iced drink.
