This Dawa Tea Recipe was easy to prepare and turned out to be absolutely delicious! The combination of ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and honey creates a flavorful, health boosting drink that’s both comforting and invigorating.
In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil. Once it’s simmering, toss in some freshly grated ginger, turmeric, a cinnamon stick, and a few cloves. Let everything bubble away for about 5 minutes, giving the spices time to release their flavors.
Optional Garlic Boost:
If you want to give the tea an extra kick, crush a small garlic clove and add it to the pot. Garlic can do wonders for your immune system, so it’s a nice addition if you’re after that extra health benefit.
Let The Tea Infuse:
After 5 minutes, drop in your tea bag (if you’re using one). Keep simmering for another 2–3 minutes so the tea gets a nice infusion. If you’re skipping the tea bag, no need to do anything here.
Finish And Serve:
Take the pot off the heat, and strain the tea into a cup (if you’ve used a tea bag or the whole spices). Add a splash of fresh lemon juice and sweeten it with honey to your liking. Sip it hot and enjoy the calming, comforting warmth of your Dawa Tea!
